Hal Amick, Ph.D., P.E., Vice President

Hal Amick works on problems related to structural and soil dynamics, rail and transportation vibrations, mechanical vibrations, and community or workplace vibrations. He is experienced in signals processing, finite element modeling and many aspects of structural and soil dynamics. Hal Amick has worked extensively in the design and peer-review of low vibration environments for advanced technology facilities.

Dale Pekrul, Senior Consultant

Mr. Pekrul has served as a Senior Associate Consultant to Colin Gordon & Associates since 1993, providing experienced support on CGA projects as needed. He has been involved in numerous projects involving room acoustics, HVAC noise control, and laboratory acoustics.

Stephen M. Jaeger, P.E., Senior Consultant

Stephen M. Jaeger has over 15 years of experience in noise control and acoustics research, mostly in the field of aeroacoustics.  At CGA, his activities have focused upon acoustical design and noise control for technology facilities, environmental acoustics and litigation support pertaining to architectural acoustics.  Mr. Jaeger also has extensive experience conducting acoustical tests for such clients as Intel, the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Applied Materials and the US Navy.

Ning Tang, Ph.D., Consultant

Ning Tang has been with Colin Gordon and Associates as a consultant primarily working in the field of structural dynamics and vibration control. He has extensive skills in implementing sophisticated finite element methods and applying advanced dynamics techniques to predict vibrations of structures. He has over 7 years of extensive research/industrial experience in fracture and fatigue, heat transfer, experimental mechanics, plates and shell, vibrations and control, composite materials, elasticity and viscoelasticity.

Blong Xiong, Consultant

Blong Xiong joined Colin Gordon & Associates in the summer of 2006. He received his MSc. in Sound & Vibration from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2005. For his MSc thesis, he and a colleague investigated the influence of the interior trim on noise transfer functions into a car body interior (performed in conjunction with Volvo Cars AB).
